St. George

We went to St. George this past weekend with a few friends! We had a great time and I took my camera, but we mostly just hung out and relaxed all weekend so I didn't get any photos. MaCade went golfing twice and I went to the outlets and the parade of homes. We are sure glad our friends have connections in sunny St. George because Cade and I were getting real sick of the cold! Thanks Carrie & Cornell!

This weekend we are headed to Salt Lake and are going to have my cousin take a family photo before I get too big and pregnant. I have been dying to get our pictures taken for the last couple of months because we have never had pictures together except our engagements. I have no idea what we will wear, but hopefully I can find something I feel comfortable in.

I am excited for the second week in March because USU is having a mandatory unpaid shutdown and I won't have to work for a whole week. I am kind of bummed about not getting paid, but excited for the time off. We won't be going any where because Cade still has to work, but it will definitely be relaxing to have a little time away from work.

Our Valentine's Day

We never really do to much on Valentine's day because we celebrate our anniversary 2 days before. Most years we go to dinner and rent a movie. This year we decided to stay in because we had done so much on our anniversary. We thought it would be fun to buy some chocolate covered strawberries, but they were way expensive. So, I told MaCade we should try to make our own. I bought a package of strawberries and had some leftover chocolate from New Year's Eve. We dipped our own strawberries and realized we were definitely not pros. Although they don't look as nice as the one's you buy in the store these were definitely great! We ate them while trying to enjoy the Aggie's basketball game but unfortunately they lost.
This was the last strawberry MaCade dipped and the chocolate was way too thick! He thought it was a masterpiece!
These are the beautiful flowers he gave me on our anniversary! They make me want spring to get here a lot faster than it is!

My Wonderful Husband

So I thought I better tell you all what Cade planned for our anniversary. I thought for sure it was going to be something at home but no he really surprised me. First we went out to dinner and then once we got in the car he had me close my eyes. When we got to our destination I opened my eyes and to my suprise he had booked us a room at the Annniversary Inn. When I had left for work yesterday he got our bags packed and had everything in our room when we arrived at the hotel. He had brought extra treats and sparkling cider, which was great! He had some pretty gerber daisies setting on the table, which are my most favorite flower! He did such a great job at planning our evening that I think I might turn the anniversary planning over to him every year! Thanks babe for such a wonderful anniversary and for the best 4 years of my life!

I even took the camera with us and then forgot to get it out to take a picture of us on our anniversary.

4 Years!!!

We have been married 4 years today!! It seems just like yesterday that we were married. We have accomplished some great things in those 4 years of marriage. We both graduate college, we bought our first home, and now we have a little munchkin on the way! I am so grateful for my husband and everything he does for us. I told him this year was his turn to plan what we do for our anniversary. Normally we just go to dinner or go stay in Salt Lake overnight. I am excited to see what he has planned for us tonight. He won't tell me anything! He told me that I can't beat him home so he will call me when he gets home.

Here are a few qualities & things I love about him...

1. He is such a hard worker and always looking out for others.
2. He knows so much about the gospel and has such a strong testimony!
3. He gives great massages and never really expects me to give him one.
4. He always supports me in the sports I play! He even drove with me every weekend for 8 weeks to Lehi to play on an outdoor soccer league.
5. He will eat anything I fix without complaining, even if it is some gross tuna casserole recipe I tried out once.
6. He is a finance freak, just like me! Which some people may think could be bad.
7. He loves going hunting, golfing, & watching sports!
8. He always tells me how much he loves me! Which is something I am probably not the best at!
9. He is very clean! Probably more than me, he always makes sure the bed is made, the dishes are out of the sink, and the house is straightened before he leaves for work. (he leaves after me) He even helps me with the laundry!
10. I just love everything about my husband! I am so glad that I am able to spend eternity with him!

SURPRISE

We are having our first BABY!! We are so excited and a little nervous at the same time. We went to the doctor yesterday assuming we were only about 8 weeks along and come to find out we are 12 weeks! Our due date is August 22! It was such a neat experience going to the doctor and being able to see our little munchkin and hear their heart beat! I can't wait to find out what we are having and to be able to start shopping!
