Gp. Rick's Birthday

We had a party Sunday for my dad's birthday and I decided to make the cake for the party. I made his favorite cake, which was carrot cake with a cream cheese butter cream. I also made these yummy cupcakes that had peanut butter frosting. I have enjoyed being able to learn how to make and decorate cakes.
Happy Birthday Dad! We hope you have a great day tomorrow (his official birthday). We love an appreciate all you do for us.

January Birthday Cake

My family held a birthday party for all January birthdays last month and I made the cake and cupcakes for the party. I made cookies and cream cupcakes found at frostedhappycupcakes.blogspot.com. The cake was a chocolate cake with vanilla buttercream

17 months

Emry is 17 months and a little bit more now. I am so not good at blogging. We get caught up in our day to day life and I forget I haven't posted pictures forever. Emry is growing up so fast. It amazes me how much she can do now.
- She says the following words: Tractor, Aunt B, Kobe, Maddi, Pat, Up, Kitty, Bite, Marshmallow, Creamy (ice cream), Potty, Cereal, Got It, Puppy, Snow.
There are probably many more words she can say but these are the words she says most of the time.
-She is really into dressing up and wants to dance constantly. I think we have a true girl on our hands.
-She loves to read us her books or at least act like she is reading them.
-She has grown to be a big helper now and some days it isn't all that great, but I enjoy the laughs she gives us daily.
-She has started wanting to sit on the potty. I can't decide if this is a good thing or a bad thing. She never really goes, but I figure if I keep sitting her on there one day she might get it. She knows when she goes, but can't figure out to tell me before hand.
- Emry loves Elmo and loves watching him on TV.
We haven't really had too many adventures since Christmas. Mostly just going to Fielding and visiting my mom which allows me to get out of the house and do a little sewing too.
Next month we are excited to be able to go visit maCade's mom and Jed in St. George for a week. Hopefully Emry will do well there. She isn't much for sleeping great outside of her crib.
