9 Months this week

I can't believe how fast time has gone. Emry is such a joy to have in our home. She is so full of energy and is changing so much! Here are a few of her stats for this month.

- She is eating all kinds of table food. Loves to eat whatever we are eating. a few of her favorites are Turkey Steak, Kiwi, Potatoes and Gravy, and any kind of soup.
- She started crawling and is now into everything. I love it though because now she can entertain herself a little bit better.
- She has started pulling herself up to things. Mostly things that are shorter then her.
- She climbed some stairs last night at grandma's house.
- She is sleeping for at least 7 to 8 hours a night which is great! It is like Heaven on Earth!
- She loves to be outside and playing in the grass and dirt.
- She knows her name. When we say it she looks up at us.
- She says ma ma ma and da da da and is starting to associate them with us. (at least we think so)
- She can drink out of a sippy cup.

Overall we think Emry is doing great, but what parent wouldn't think that of their child. We are excited to see her stats at the doctor's office this week. We think she is very tall.

Emry was able to meet her cousin Lynsi and Walter, but of course I wasn't good at getting pictures. It was great to have them come visit for a quick trip. We also went and stayed with Cornell and Carrie and went to Gardner Village. Emry had her first girl cousin sleep over at our house while MaCade was at an overnight camp out with his young men. We have a trip planned to Bear Lake with our friends and then in a couple of weeks we will be heading to sunny St. George with Cade's Mom and Jed and we couldn't be more happy to get out of here in get back into the sunshine.

Our little sports fan. She loves balls and
we hope this means she will play sports when she grows up.

Crawling

Emry is Crawling!!! I took a picture and a video I will try to post this week. Emry started crawling on the 31st of April and has really perfected it now. She is a fast little thing. She has already started pulling herself up on the couch this past weekend. I am thinking she is moving way to fast and before to long she will be walking. This stage has been so much fun. It has made her a little more independent which I love.

Another exciting adventure in Emry's life is she has been sleeping mostly through the night for the past three weeks! (knock on wood) She has done so well and it has made our lives so much better. She is so much more happy and so are her parents. It is nice to actually stay up past her bed time and spend time with the hubby or get a little alone time done. I am loving it and hope that it keeps on happening. She goes to bed any time between 7 and 8 and sleeps until about 4:00 am has some milk and then sleeps until about 7 am. It has been so nice to actually sleep for longer than a 2 hour period. We are loving life and couldn't be happier!

Hawaii

MaCade and I had the oppurtunity to go to Hawaii the first part of April with his company. We had such a great time. It couldn't have been better timing because we were celebrating our 5 year anniversary this year! We went to Kona, Hawaii which is on the big island. We attempted to go snorkeling until I got attacked by a sea urchin so that was cut short. Most of the trip was spent relaxing by the beach and pool. We also rented a car one day and traveled to the top of the island to the rainforest! It was awsome. MaCade was also able to get in two golf games which he really enjoyed. It was fun to get away and relax, but boy did we miss our little girl!

I just want to tell MaCade how much I love him and how happy I am to have found such a great guy! I can't believe we have been married 5 years, it seems like yesterday we were getting married. I am so thankful that he is able to support our family and that he has made it possible for me to stay home with Emry. It has been so much fun watching her change and grow each day. I love you MaCade and appreciate all you do for our little family. I am so greatful that you are willing to help me with Emry in the middle of the night, not to many husbands will do this and I am truly greatful for this because I need my rest. You are a wonderful husband and I couldn't see myself with anybody else but you. I love you babe!

A Couple New Tricks

So there are a couple things to add to Emry's list of things she can do at 8 months of age. She is crawling! She hasn't perfected it quite yet, but she is getting better each day. She is also trying to pull herself up when near th couch, chairs, tables, etc. She tried to pull herself up tonight in the tub and lets just say she will probably have a little bruise on her head. She doesn't quite understand that the tub and trying to crawl or pull herself up do not go together.
