February

This past month has flown bye so fast. I can't believe that in a couple of days Asher will be 1 month old. Now we have him here I can't hardly remember what life was like without two little kids around the house. Emry loves her little brother and is a very big helper. She loves to hold him and help get him in the bath. She has adjusted pretty well, we have only had a few tantrums since his arrival. 

On February 16, Asher had his 2 week check and weighed in at 9.2 lbs and was 22 inches tall. He had grown a whole inch and a half in two weeks time, Crazy!! He is a good natured little boy and sleeps very well. He usually goes 4 to 5 hours at night and then either 3 or 4 after that. Although last night was our best night and he went 6.5 and then 4. It was awesome except for the fact that little miss Em woke up 3 times last night herself for some strange reason. 

Asher loves to swing and at times just wants to be left alone. Which is complete opposite of how his sister was. He loves to lay on his belly. If it wasn't so scary I think I would let him sleep like that at night. We are so glad to have added this little guy to our family and don't know what we would do without him. 

Emry this past month has really gotten into pretending. She loves to pretend she is a doctor, a beautician, a dancer, and anything else she can think of or sees people doing. She loves to play with her dolls and take them from room to room in the house and pretend they are different stores or houses. She is still not potty trained and will not let us sit her on the toilet. I figure as long as I can get her to go by 3 it will be ok. She also keeps asking and wanting to go to school and dancing. I can't wait for her to turn 3 so she can start these fun new things. She is getting bored of playing inside and so is mom. We are both ready for it to be warm so we can play outside.

Little Asher

Well our little baby brother finally arrived on Thursday, February 2. It wasn't too bad of labor for being started again. The only complaint I have is I had to get poked 3 times for my IV and 3 times for my epidural. I guess third time was a charm for me. Asher M Evans was born at 9:26 a.m. and weighed 8lbs 7oz, and was 20.5 inches long. He has such a mild mannered little boy and has added so much joy to our home. Big Sister Emry loves him and always wants to hold him and help mommy get things for him. I was a little nervous about the transition, but so far so good.  Here are some photos of our little guy!
