Christmas 2010

Christmas 2010 was so much fun! Emry loved her presents and was so excited to play with her toys. She wasn't to into opening her gifts due to the fact that she kept getting in trouble when she would try to open them before Christmas. We celebrated Christmas Eve at my parent's house and Emry was suppose to be a lamb in the nativity and was too grumpy to be in it. Christmas morning Cade's mom and Jed came and watched Emry open her gifts. Christmas afternoon was spent at my parent's house. Overall we had a great Christmas and were all very spoiled. We had Grandpa Jack make emry her cute wooden kitchen. It is so fun to watch her pretend cooking with it. We hope you all had a Merry Christmas.

Temple Square

We went to Temple Square on December 22nd with the Brown's to hear my mom sing in her music group. It was fun to meet up with friends and family and see the lights and listen to beautiful Christmas music. Emry had fun and lucky for us it wasn't too cold!

Emry Update

Emry is at such a fun age and is getting so independent. Which now I find time to do a few more things and some times run out of things to do because she is being so good that day. We are loving this stage in her life and couldn't be more happy. Her are a few things she is doing.

- at 15 month check up she weighed 25 lbs. (80th) and was 32 inches (90th) tall.
- says the following words: coat, color, cold, hot, cereal, pooh, and water.
- She says the following animal noises now too Baa, and cock-a-doodle-do
- Loves to read books to us
- Loves to throw and kick balls
- Blows her nose into her washcloths
- Can blow her daddy's duck calls very well
- Loves to help us cook or do whatever we are doing
- she has all of her eye teeth poking through now too.

Texas

On November 18 my Mom, Emry, and I all went to Texas. My cousin Brittani and her husband Jason had a baby Jace Brooks Hill and we went to help them (not sure if we were that much help) with the first little bit of being home from the hospital. Brittani's mom (my mom's sister) passed away when we were in the 5th grade and so my mom has kind of been their second mom in a way. So I thought it would be fun to tag along with her to Texas. We had a great time with all of our cousins and family friends. I was nervous for our travels on the plane, but Emry did so awesome she slept most of the time on the plane and when she was awake she was happy as could be. Both plane rides we were able to have an empty seat next to us which helped make it a little more roomy for her.

Marki's Sweet Sixteen

My niece Markelle turned 16 on November 21st. Before Emry and I left for Texas I made her this cake for her sweet sixteen party. Becki and my mom helped me as well. It is kinda a two to three person job I think making these cakes. Becki is the perfectionist, my mom is just a great assistant, and I come up with the ideas and help put it all together. I think it turned out dang cute. It was my favorite cake so far.
