Grocery Smarts

So I didn't think I would post about my deals. I thought I would just save money and not tell anybody, but I thought for my very first purchase I would share the killer deal that I got yesterday. Because I thought it was so awesome and I guess I am kinda a nerd like that. I think that this grocery smarts thing is really going to help me save money and start a good food storage. When Stephanie came and taught the class at my house she said that she shopped from her pantry because she had such a good food storage. That way she got everything on a good deal and wasn't spending lots of money on something because she ran out.

So here is what I got yesterday.
12 cans of cream of chicken soup
6 boxes of fruit snacks
1 box Capri Suns (totally FREE)
2 refrigerator cookies
2 cookie mixes
2 frosting's
2 cans enchilada sauce
3lbs chiken breasts/tenders
2 refridgerator cresent rolls
2 Grands biscutts
2 Warm Delights
(I have always wanted to try them and for $0.45 who wouldn't try them)

Total spent = $27.29
Total saved = $55.21
Plus I got a coupon for $3.50 of my next purchase!!

I know it looks like I got a lot of sweets and I did, but my theory is that when I need a treat for a party last minute then I am not going to the store and buying a $5 package of cookies. Instead I can pull some out of my freezer or pantry and pop them in the oven.

You've always been the bargain shopper! Nice work! And yeah, that would be fun to take your family pic, but I don't have a super nice camera... maybe we could just use my point and shoot and then fix 'em up in photoshop.
