So I woke up yesterday at 5:00a.m. I kinda felt like I was waking up for Black Friday, but instead it was the best savings day for coupon users so far this year. I am not that intense that I wake up and go every week at 5:00a.m., but I knew if I didn't go at that time yesterday I probably wouldn't get all the items on my list. So I get to Albertsons at 5:20 and there was already one item on my list out of stock, but I still was successful.
I spent 51.45 and saved 175.01 and got 80 items. That equals about $0.65 an item. I also got $15 off my next purchase too. I got things like laundry detergent, deodorant, shampoo, frosting, cake mix, Progresso soup, Chex mix, frozen veggies, yogurt, water, mayo, Q-tips, peanut butter, and much more.
I have decided using coupons is a great way to build food storage! My mom has always said she doesn't have enough food storage for us all to live on and that we all need to really get our own. Well I am finally practing what she has preached for a lot of years.
Something else I have thought of this week is how important it is not just have food storage but personal care and household items as well. Because a tough time may not be a big event that affects everyone, but it may be something that just affects our family. Whether it be loosing a job, getting sick, or getting in an accident it is important to make sure that we are prepared for those types of things. So when they do happen we can get through them more easily.

that is so neat! i need to get on whatever program you have been doing because it sounds like you save so much money, and who doesn't want to do that!
Good deals! Doesn't it just give you a rush?? I wish I lived in Logan:)
Sweet savings. Um if your telling me that I have to get up that early to get all the savings, I don't think so. Way to early for me.
