Easter Weekend

We had a fun Easter weekend. My cousins Brittani came with her little boy Jace and stayed Thursday to Saturday. Friday we went to baby animal days with Julie and her kids. Saturday we went to the Nibley city Easter egg hunt, Grandma Kent's 80th birthday party, and then finshed the day off with an Easter egg hunt at my folks. Sunday we had a bbq with MaCade's family and MaCade spoke in church. It was one busy weekend but sure was fun.

This past week Asher started giggling and cooing at us a bunch. He is such a handsome little boy. He slept 9 hours last night. It was awesome. I was a little nervous I had to go make sure he was still breathing.

I wanted to document a couple of things Emry has done lately. The week before Easter I was taking some clothes out of a kohls bag I had bought them and forgot I had a little pretend make-up kit for her in there. She came running in the room so I tossed it under her dresser. I forgot about it and the next morning she comes running out of her room "mommy look what I found, I got my own make-up." I said where did you get it. She said " I found it under my drawer." I better do a little better at hiding things.

Friday Night I told Emry we were going to go to the park to the Easter egg hunt and see the Easter bunny. She then said "When I see the Easter bunny I'm gonna shoot him." MaCade thought it was great he has found himself a hunting partner. At least once a week they pretend they are hunting with there binoculars and bow and arrows, MaCade is starting her young.

Sunday we told her Grandpa Jed was outside playing horse shoes she said "Where is grandpa's horse?" We then said grandpa doesn't have a horse. She said "yes he does he is out with his horse shoes." It is so funny the way toddler's minds work. She is so smart and you can't get a thing past her. There is never a dull moment in our lives with Em around.

Thanks for the comments sometimes I really wonder if anyone reads what I am posting. I feel the exact same way you do at times when I read your Emery updates I feel like I could copy and paste it to my blog about hallie. I think every stage is the most fun stage.

Oh and potty training we are doing really well no accidents in a couple days but she wears pull ups to bed at night for now it saves me lots of laundry. I don't know what to tell ya just wait til you feel like you have a lot of patience and no place to go..haha because Hallie is also very stubborn but we got a potty watch you can set it to go off every 30 min, 1 hr, or 90 mins it has worked great then she doesn't get annoyed with me asking her to go potty it just plays a little song and she say oh mommy its time to go potty and then I don't have to remember when I took her last because lets be honest we both have a lot of other things to worry about. Good luck.
